A-Tono ETS: a bridge between people and innovation for global health.

There is an invisible thread that connects stories, ideas, and people, crossing continents and transcending borders.
This thread is woven from collaboration, commitment, and vision. Since its inception in 2000, A-Tono has skillfully intertwined this thread, initially in the mobile sector, later as a telecom operator, digital marketing consultant, and now, also as a Payment Institute.
Yet, its true essence reflects something much deeper: giving back to the community with awareness and tangible impact.
The Heart of A-Tono ETS: A Social Commitment to Health
A-Tono ETS is more than a charitable organization; it is a response to challenges that concern not only technological progress but human well-being as a whole. The association has always been dedicated to the community, with particular attention to the medical-scientific field. Within this framework, the upcoming event on September 26th, in Rome, at the Italian Senate, will take place—a crucial conference on the management of sickle cell disease, a genetic blood disorder affecting millions of people, where research and international collaboration can make a difference.
The Conference: A Meeting of Healthcare Excellence
The event, organized in collaboration with United ETS—the Italian federation bringing together associations committed to the fight against thalassemia, sickle cell disease, and rare anemias—will be a crossroads of expertise and perspectives. Italian and international experts will discuss best treatment practices, creating a space where science becomes dialogue, sharing, and opportunity.
Among the most anticipated speakers is Dr. Jeffrey Glassberg, Director of the Mount Sinai Center for Sickle Cell Disease in New York. Thanks to the efforts of A-Tono ETS, Glassberg will bring his experience to Rome, building a bridge of ideas between Italy and the United States. He accepted the invitation with enthusiasm, making this meeting an invaluable opportunity to reflect on new avenues of treatment, innovation, and patient support.
A Journey of Innovation and Cultural Exchange
On this occasion, Dr. Glassberg will participate in the conference at the Senato della Repubblica, thus initiating a strategic and long-term collaboration between Italy and the United States. This meeting is not an endpoint but rather the beginning of a journey: Dr. Glassberg will soon return to Italy as our guest to visit the U.O.S.D. Hematology Center of the Giovanni Paolo II Hospital in Ragusa, a renowned Italian center for hematology and rare diseases, where he will engage with the local staff and explore how different approaches can mutually enrich one another. In this context, A-Tono ETS is not just the organizer but the driving force that makes these exchanges possible, fostering connections between people, stories, and visions.
Building Connections, Nurturing Futures
The goal is clear: to create bonds. Bonds that transcend borders, surpass linguistic and cultural barriers, and place people and their stories at the center.
A-Tono ETS doesn't just provide financial support. Its true innovation lies in its ability to build networks, enabling dialogue between institutions, experts, and communities, offering expertise and vision.
In today’s global context, where health challenges are increasingly complex, A-Tono ETS teaches us that the answer must also be global. By connecting technological knowledge to the human dimension, building bridges between those who conduct research and those who live with the disease, only then can we truly envision a future where innovation is not just a technical advancement but a collective awareness.
